Four people have been injured in a car accident that occurred at Kotokuraba in Cape Coast on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.
According to a statement from the Service, the incident involved a Toyota Echo taxi with registration number GW 5934-14, and a Samsung Yamouzine truck with registration number CR 487-18.
It noted that, the accident was caused by a suspected brake failure on the truck,which damaged the taxi and partially damaged the truck's engine.
The Ghana National Fire Service, stated that, fire personnel from the Metropolitan Fire Station in Cape Coast recieved a distress call at 10:28 a.m and responded promptly to the accident.
Upon arrival, the rescue team found four injured people, comprising of three males and one female, who were conveyed to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and Ewim Poly Clinic.
The fire personnel cleared the debris and moved the vehicles to ease traffic, after rescuing the victims.
The Ghana National Fire Service pledged it's commitment to promote safety awareness and respond to emergencies in the region.
