Beyond being a First Lady, she was known for her courage and advocacy for women’s rights. She worked tirelessly to promote gender equality and social progress.

In 2012, she founded the National Democratic Party (NDP) after parting ways with the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Her decision reflected her independent spirit and desire to contribute differently to Ghana’s democracy.
