A level 400 Petroleum Engineering student at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Winner of the Ghana Universities Debate Championship Godfred Akomaning, known as ‘Immortal Legend,' has committed suicide after ingesting weedicide.
According to reports he detailed his struggles in a six-page memoir, revealing that he had been battling longstanding mental health problems that remained hidden from friends and lacked adequate family support.

Over time his condition deteriorated until he felt overcome, leading to this tragic outcome.
