Media personality and Guinness World Record sing-a-thon contestant Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has expressed fear for her life. She said she has been receiving death threats from a strange group that calls itself the “Kubala Kingdom.”
The Kubala Kingdom is said to be a small group made up of three people. They are believed to be a self-styled African tribe living in the woods of Jedburgh, a town in Scotland.
Reports say the group lives in isolation, away from the rest of society. They are not well known, and very little is understood about who they are or what they represent.
Afua revealed that she began receiving threatening messages after she had an online encounter with people linked to the Kubala Kingdom. According to her, the situation became more serious when the threats moved from social media to her personal email.
In a series of emotional posts on her verified social media accounts, Afua said she fears for her safety and that of her family. She described the messages as disturbing and frightening.
Afua explained that the threats started after she spoke publicly against the Kubala Kingdom. She had warned her followers not to engage with the group, claiming they were dangerous and mysterious.
She said the messages she received contained personal details about her life and family. The fact that the sender knew she had three daughters made her even more afraid.
“They have been threatening my life through emails,” Afua said in one of her posts. “He stated categorically that he knows I have three daughters and other private details about me, so I can’t take it lightly. It started from Instagram and extended to my email,” she added.
She also shared one of the threatening messages on her social media page. The message read, “The king stretched his hand of promise towards you about a day which cometh forth, yet you have mocked what is meant to be covered until the appointed time.
Know therefore that you may have more questions to answer on that day. Where the word of the king is, there is power. Kubala Kubala Ilizwe.”
The message appeared to be written in a strange and threatening tone. Many of her followers said it sounded like a warning or a curse.
Afua mentioned that she has never met the person behind the messages. She believes the sender might be hiding behind a fake identity.
According to her, UK authorities have already contacted her to assist in the ongoing investigation. They have asked her to provide copies of the threatening emails to help them trace the source.
“They are trying to gather enough evidence, and I am complying. To report him officially is yet to be done. I don’t know what he wants from me,” Afua explained.
Afua said she decided to make the issue public so that others could be cautious. She fears that other people, especially women, could also fall victim to similar online threats.
Her followers have reacted with shock and concern since she revealed the issue. Many people have sent her supportive messages and have called on authorities to act quickly to protect her.
Some social media users have also begun warning others to avoid any interaction with accounts linked to the Kubala Kingdom. They believe it could be a dangerous online cult or scam group.
Afua thanked her fans and supporters for standing by her during the difficult time. She said she will continue to cooperate with investigators until the issue is resolved.
The situation has raised wider concerns about online safety and cyber threats. Many believe Afua’s experience shows how social media can be used by dangerous people to spread fear and intimidation.
For now, Afua says she is taking precautions and remains hopeful that the authorities will find those behind the threats. She continues to urge everyone to be alert and careful when dealing with strangers online.
The investigation is still ongoing, and UK police are yet to release an official statement. However, Afua says she will not stop speaking out until justice is served and she feels safe again.
