The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced that online registration for the 2025/2026 service year will begin on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. The registration process will officially close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, giving applicants one full week to complete their registration online.
This new registration follows a directive from President John Dramani Mahama. He instructed the NSA to build a new and improved registration system after concerns were raised about the old one.
The old registration platform, called the Central Service Management Platform (CSMP), was reviewed in a technical and forensic audit. The audit found several technical problems that made the platform unreliable and unsafe for managing applicants’ data.
According to the audit report, the old system lacked proper security and transparency. It also failed to provide accurate data verification, which caused major inconsistencies in applicants’ information.
Due to these findings, President Mahama asked the NSA to design a new digital registration platform. This new platform will include strong security features, real-time verification, and improved efficiency for all applicants.
In a public statement, the NSA announced that all June 2025 registrations are no longer valid. Every prospective national service applicant must therefore register again using the new and updated system.
The NSA explained that this decision was made because the old system had data errors and false information. Some applicants were found to have entered incorrect ages or personal details, affecting the integrity of the process.
To ensure fairness, the Authority said all applicants who registered in June will get full refunds of their service fees. It assured the public that no one will lose their money because of the new system.
“All previous registrations from June 2025 have been declared invalid,” the NSA stated. “Every applicant must complete a new registration on the new secure platform.”
The Authority added that step-by-step guidelines for registration will be shared on its official website, www.gnsa.gov.gh, starting Tuesday, October 7, 2025. The guide will help applicants understand how to complete the process easily and correctly.
The NSA also announced several new IT reforms to make its operations more efficient. These reforms aim to stop payroll fraud and ensure the timely payment of allowances to all service personnel.
The Authority said it is partnering with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department. This collaboration will help promote financial accountability and proper record management.
The NSA added that it will conduct regular performance audits on the new system. These checks will help fix technical issues quickly and maintain smooth service delivery.
All national service personnel are expected to report to their assigned workplaces on Saturday, November 1, 2025. The official start date for the 2025/2026 service year will be Monday, November 3, 2025.
The Authority advised all applicants to follow the new registration steps carefully. It assured that the new system will be more transparent, safer, and easier for all Ghanaian graduates to use.
